We are ordering invitations this week. Just for fun, I plugged in our information in some of the online invitations. You can then view your wording in a preview screen with your text. It’s pretty cool to see it all laid out. We’re getting pretty excited and once the holidays go flying by, we’ll only have just a few more months.
This has been a productive week. In addition to the invitations, we also picked out our rings. We happened to find them in the first store we went to. We went to a few stores afterwards, just to make sure there wasn’t anything else we’d like better. Turns out, there wasn’t. So, we go this saturday to pay for them. (additional 20% off…score!)
6 months from Saturday. I think we’re in good shape.
I refuse to use the word Matron any longer. I hearby declare that word much to ancient and matronly. My sisters are neither! From here on out, they will be referred to as “maid” of honor’s. And you can now go see the rest of the bridal party here, on it’s very own snazzy new page! woooo
I really love this invitation but the liner only comes in three colors. Purple (shown), silver and pearl. Blech. I really thought they’d have sage. Or even yellow. Why only 3 colors? Practically all the other one’s have sage as an option. Just our luck
Can you tell that I’m not up to date in posting information here. Yeah, busy doesn’t even begin to describe our life right now, but it’s all so worth it.

The family engagement party was amazing. Sean and I had a really great time and we were so lucky that most people were able to make it. Sean’s mom and sister came all the way from North Carolina. My sister-in-law drove all the way from Rochester to be with us. Her husband and my brother Stephen got stuck in Ohio and couldn’t get a flight out, which totally sucked. We missed him terribly, but I did get to talk with him a little before the party started and I know he really wanted to be with us. But mother nature will do it’s own thing no matter what.
My brother George and his family drove through terrenchial rain and a few mudslides (as well as road closures), as did my cousin Karla who was coming in from central PA, just to be with us. We were extremely thankfully that everyone made it in one piece and for the most part, the terrenchial rains held out through out the day. We had some intermitten showers and a ton of wind, but we managed!
There are more photos up in the photo gallery, so be sure to check those out.
Thanks again to MaryJane and Artie for putting everything together and making our day so perfect!
